It’s another record year in Sonoma County for the tourism industry.  If it’s not wine, then it’s beer.  If it’s not a wedding, then it’s a corporate retreat.  Maybe you like antiques, or eco-tourism, golfing, hiking, mountain climbing, or good food?  Sonoma County has all this and more, making it one of the world’s premier travel destinations.

According to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, tourism revenues grew 2.4 percent in 2014 to $1.65 billion, an increase of nearly $40 million over the previous year. It’s the fifth year in a row in terms of growth, according to data provided by Visit California.

The Press Democrat Article talks about many of the attractions for Sonoma County, which is not necessarily the wine-tasting, but the broad range of experiences offered by the region, including the coast, redwoods, landscape, agriculture and other factors.  Next time you book your visit to Sonoma County, fly into the Sonoma County Airport (STS) and reserve a rental car from Sixt of Sonoma County.
