SANTA ROSA, Calif. – September 8, 2015 – Sonoma County Harvest Fair is preparing to celebrate its 41st anniversary, October 2, 3 and 4. Now in its fourth decade, the Harvest Fair has draws Bay Area locals and visitors from across the globe to the Sonoma County Event Center at the Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa. If you’re traveling from outside the area, fly into STS – the Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport and rent a car from Sixt rental cars.
This loved community event brings together in one weekend the bounty of more than 100 wineries with over 500 award winning wines, craft beer and cider makers, and culinary delights from the region’s finest food artisans.
Attending the Harvest Fair provides an exclusive opportunity for wine lovers to taste and shop for ALL of the gold medal winning wines in one location. Fairgoers can also shop for special products in the Wine Country Marketplace, attend workshops, participate in a Wine Tasting Seminar or Chef Demonstration, watch as contestants compete for cash in the World Wrapped Cooking Competition, and even roll up their pant legs for the World Championship Grape Stomp.
In the Grand Tasting Pavilion, ticket holders get first tastes of this year’s award-winning wines, along with craft beers and ciders and Sonoma County culinary masterpieces. Also, out on the Wine Patio, Taste the Golds offers a chance to taste samples of only the best-of-the-best wines from the region. Always held with the arrival of autumn during the first weekend in October, the Harvest Fair celebrates Sonoma County’s abundant season of growing and the delectable outcomes inspired by the area’s hard working ranchers and farmers, acclaimed vintners and noted chefs.
